Rod Tip size is the diameter of the blank when the tip is removed.
Guide ring size is the outer diameter of the “o” ring insert.
To repair a broken tip,
Remove the broken tip sleeve by heating with a lighter or heat gun and gently twist the sleeve of the blank. (Caution the sleeve and blank are very hot)
Match the ring diameter of the replacement tip to the nearest existing guide by measuring the diameter across the ring in the guide and choose the corresponding tip from your Fuji pack.
Match the sleeve diameter by measuring the diameter of the blank about 1cm from the end you get your tip sleeve diameter in millimetres. This is the rod tip measurement.
Once you have selected your replacement tip melt some Fuji hot melt glue with a lighter and coat a reasonable amount over the last 10mm or so(Caution melted Glue can burn), then place the new tip on the blank while sliding and twisting at the same time with the clue is still melted. The new tip is now in place and can be aligned by gently heating and twisting into place while ensuring the tip is fully inserted.
(Caution the Glue, sleeve and blank are very hot)
